One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

...Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
We give thanks to the Lord for this most wonderful gift given to all of us. Matthew has brought so much joy into so many lives. Watch over him every day and make his life have nothing but happiness, joy and love. He deserves it.

One more comment. He looks like he's singing to the Angels. It reminds me of the little statue Michael gave his Grandma Dunphy of a little boy holding a candle with his mouth opened just like that.
