One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Matthew is such a stinker when it comes to eating any solid food. In these pictures, you can imagine him saying, "Hey Mom, I know why you've got me in this highchair. Do you really think you can make me eat?"
His expressions are of someone way beyond his years. There is a big story in there and it would be wonderful if he could just say what's on his mind. He is just so darn cute.
I can't believe how big Matthew is getting. Julie,Alyssa and I are going to be in Vegas this weekend. (Sat-Mon) Would love to see you guys. Terri I have been trying to reach by cell phone, but I had your old number. I will call you and try to set a time to visit, if OK with you guys.
