One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.

Aunt Gabrielle & Uncle Keith invited us to a late lunch at their house today. It was cold out so we bundled up Matthew in his "Christmas Story" outfit. We can't help but laugh at the jester hat.
He is just so darn cute in that outfit and his expression says it all. Looking at that adorable face makes all my cares go away. He definitely brightens every day.
