One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Terri and I just can't get over these chubby little cheeks!
Matthew looks great! He is a real cutie. My granddaughter was born without a pulmonary artery plus several other heart defects. Gabby is 6 years old now and doing great. She has had three surgeries so far and at least one more to go. Gabby has 2 sisters and lots of cousins, and knows how to pull her own weight with them all. I have checked in on your blog from time to time, and can tell how well Matthew is growing. Best wishes from Arkansas.
Well I saw all the pictures yesterday and now I have this to start my work day. It just doesn't get better. I love him so much and miss all of you.
