One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Homecoming Day...Daddy heads into the hospital with the susper-stroller. Poor Terri & Kim almost had to run to keep up.
Praise the Lord!!! We are sooooo excited for you guys and can not wait to come see you again at HOME!! Matthew's room is sooooo cute! Continually praying and thinking of you!
We are just so excited for you three (and your family members). What an AWESOME day it mus have been for you all, to bring this beautiful child home for the first time..I am reminded of the day we brought our daughter (Alyssa) home from China. No other feeling like bringing your child home....Congrats guys, and we will continue to keep you all in our prayers... Love, John, Julie and Alyssa
