One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Aunt Kim got to feed Matthew his bottle last night. After he ate, they entertained themselves with the carnival mirror.
What a great photo....It has been a privledge for our family, to be be apart of your families journey, struggles, and triumphs. We truely look forward to the Blog updates. Julie and I are just ecstatic to see how Matthew has progressed. We hope to meet this amazing child someday...
How great this is to see him sitting up and getting so excited. The smile on Kim and Terri's beautiful faces is wonderful to see.
