One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Matthew is doing much better now.
He still needs oxygen at night up in Beaver... but hopefully for not much longer. He is finally back to eating a bit more and talking more.
I will post some pictures soon. I got a new pink Blackberry and I've been trying to post from IT.
I can't quite figure it out, all the pictures go to MY blog and the texts go to Matthews blog. ??
Matthew did go to swimming lessons up in Beaver and it was so fun for him. He didn't dunk his head since he was just getting over an ear infection. I will sign him up for some private lessons soon.
He sure loves the water.
He also loves our friends horse! He was just squealing and giggling over "Cooper"... it was cute.
