One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

This kid and his glasses!!
He is so funny... really wondering what the heck daddy had on his face.
Matthew is pretty proud of those dark rimmed glasses too. I hope he never has to wear them for real.
Matthew is growing up along with the house going up. Just as many great memories in this cabins of his childhood as the construction of this home. Matthew certainly has his finger prints all over this cabin. Don't you just love this little guy? I know I do!!!!!!
I just found your blog. I am also a mom of a TOF baby. Though our son doesn't have as many complications it is always nice to see down the road. Thanks for sharing your story. Romans mom
