One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

New "Roadster" by Schwinn his "Auntie Tim" bought for him
Auntie Tim is really Auntie KIM. He can't pronounce his K's. His K's are T's.
He loves the bell on the handlebars and knows how to use it.... frequently. It's a perfect size and perfect height for Magoo. No wonder he is such a happy little guy.
Well Auntie Kim did it again. That is a great looking bike (tricycle) and the perfect size for Matthew. I actually had a 4 wheel bike when I was little and it had a steering wheel. Very cool at the time. I'm sure it won't take long for him to star peddling it either.
I also love the Peanut ball his teacher has him sit (bounce) on. I think they need that in all the schools for the kids who like to move around. The wonderful table and chairs work out perfectly for doing his school work. It's great to see how well he is doing.
What a totally gorgeous and cool bike!!! I hope Magoo loves it!
ReplyDeleteHe still doesn't get the whole peddle thing..
ReplyDeletehe just scoots for now...
