One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Mike reads to Matthew every night that he's home. This is a favorite time!!
You can just feel the tenderness between father and son in the top picture. When Michael is in Beaver working on the cabin, Matthew carries this book around with him. Maybe someday, Matthew will become a Supreme Court Judge.
The sunglasses picture just cracks me up. He knows he looks like a cool dude wearing them just like mommy and daddy. Matthew loves to go bye-bue and hang out with the adults. Just when I think he can't get any cuter, he does!!! Love you my little Magoo, grandma wright
and i want to read magoo's book review on Clarence Thomas soon....good grief!!! you are all amazing, i keep saying that, and you keep proving me correct!!!
