One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.
To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

Proud daddy and son
Mike in uniform ~ getting ready for his Sergeant ride along ~ he passed his Sergeant test. Woot!
I am not a fan of the "I like mike" shirts (perhaps that is because I am a democrat) :-) BUT I am a fan of your son's heroic journey. :-) God has blessed you and your family. God Bless.
I love these Father & Son pictures. Both pictures are great. Matthew is growing so quickly, Michael can hold him down to his waist instead of on his shoulder. Well, I just love seeing all the pictures and hope to come see you all very soon.
You could not find a father as great as Michael is to Matthew. They have formed a mutual admiration society. There is a strong bond between this father and son relationship that is well earned and deserved.
