One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.

Matthew still doesn't have the suck-swallow-breathe aspect of bottle feeding down. He tends to hold his breath and the 6500 feet of altitude didn't help. Here, you can see a slight blue tone to his face as he takes a break from drinking.
Oh, our sweet little baby boy. It's hard to see him having difficulty. Thank God he is growing and thriving and doing so well. I hope all future trips will be like the first one.
