One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future. To appreciate the absolute miracle of this "3 plus million dollar boy", you'd need to look into the "Archives" beginning after his first 9 hr open heart surgery at Stanford, August 2005.

The week finally caught up with Terri and I. All the stress and sleepless nights have taken their toll and we are both suffering from a stomach flu. Grandma Wright was a God Sent and came over to help out today. She gave Matthew his breathing treatments, folded laundry, and picked up one of Matthew's many prescriptions from the pharmacy.

I think we should get Grandma Wright a pair of Angel wings. What a truly wonderful person she is and so willing to help with anything the King Trio needs. She'll get those smiles from Matthew, just watch and see.
