One boy's long road to recovery. Matthew was born two months premature with a rare fourfold heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and MAPCA's, and Ventricular Septal Defect. He's had two open heart surgeries and will need additional heart surgeries in the future.

Our nephew, Daniel, has been coming over during the day. He has been a big help to Terri. Daniel is so good with Matthew and watches out for him while Terri pumps or handles other tasks around the house.
Daniel is the best. I must admit he is better at changing Matthew's "blowouts" than I am. I almost had to arm wrestle him just so I could hold Matthew.
He also gives Matthew his breathing treatments.... keeps in bouncing in his chair... he's very good!! I love having Daniel around.... what a great cousin! Terri
